“Just go out there and live free.” Those were the wishes of Nadine Fuller for Koa, the stranded Pacific green sea turtle for Koa she found on a Newport, OR. beach two months ago. “Koa” means strong and fearless in Hawaiian and this turtle earned his name during a long day of transport from the Oregon Coast Aquarium to Sea World in San Diego. Here are some photos of his journey. We have had reports from Sea World that he is doing well in his new home and will be released some time next summer when the waters are warmer.
